Affirmation
I affirm that my organisation conforms to the IGPN requirements of membership set forth in the IGPN Membership Requirements. I also attest that all the information provided to IGPN about my organisation is correct. I understand that if my organisation's policies or practices are altered so as to be substantially out of compliance with the requirements, or if my organisation has engaged in conduct defaming IGPN or prejudicial to the interests and objectives of IGPN, my organisation's membership in IGPN will be invalidated.
Requirements for IGPN Membership
IGPN membership is open to any organisation or individual who is willing to participate in IGPN activities and contribute to the promotion of Green Purchasing.
1. Responsibilities of IGPN Members
Attend and actively participate in the IGPN meetings and related events.
Give continuous input to the IGPN work and ongoing projects, completing commitments to agreed deadlines.
Report on activities, achievements and developments to the IGPN secretariat for posting on the IGPN web site and/or for use in other IGPN informational and promotional purposes.
Contribute annual membership fees to help offset administrative and other organisational costs.
2. Membership Fees
IGPN membership is free of charge until 31st March 2010, from which date the following rules will apply:
Members will be annually invoiced and pay membership fees in an amount determined based on the IGPN membership fee table, which will be provided to all members in due course.
Besides the annual membership fee, members are expected to cover their own expenses relating to their participation in IGPN activities and initiatives.
Different levels of membership fee may be applied to corporate and individual members.
3. Membership Application and Approval Process
In response to requests for information on membership requirements and/or request for the membership application form (for either organisation or individual), the IGPN
Secretariat sends out the relevant application form along with an information letter that outlines this application and approval process and identifies the annual membership fee requirement and amount.
Once completed, the applicant signs and returns the application form to the Secretariat for processing. The Secretariat reviews the application to ensure that it is fully and properly completed and signed. The Secretariat may forward, if necessary, the application to the Council and/or Board for their consideration.
Based on the information forwarded by the Secretariat, any Council and/or Board member may request additional information. A request for additional information and/or a decision on membership is conveyed to the applicant by the Secretariat. If none of the Council/Board members objects to granting a membership to the applicant, the applicant becomes a member.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
IGPN does not rent, sell, or share a member’s information provided in the application form with other people or organisations without a prior consent from the member.
5. Changes to Requirements
IGPN may update the requirements. IGPN will notify the members about significant changes in the way it treats organisational/personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in the Membership Application Form or by placing a prominent notice on the IGPN web site.
